After coming up with a full fledged Eid collection for Eid-ul-Fitr 2018 Elan is now back with another collection and it’s under their Elan Vital series. For this particular collection they have drawn inspiration from forces of nature and ancient history of different parts of the world. Titled ‘Myths & Fables’ the entire collection follows a strong theme of depicting ancient symbols and art through emblazoning patterns on shirts. You’ll spot lots of horses throughout this collection!

A tunic ‘Greek Warrior’ from the collection has horses, pillars and emperors embroidered all over the hemline along with geometric pattern detailing on the neckline in black and white combination which calls out for an epic monochrome look for all the women who love and appreciate history and art. Another one ‘Oriental Cottage’ has monuments from China embroidered all over the tunic along with red floral patterns and pearls detailing. All pieces carry patterns that are derived from meaningful places and carry a history behind them. Most of the tunics are embroidered with horses and emperors over them in varying poses which takes you back to the ancient times and pictures that you saw in your history books. With more emphasis on lighter tones this collection plays on the subtle side of the shade card. With such a theme most of the time designers go all in and use lots of colors but I like how Khadijah Shah has kept this collection poise and elegant by keeping a sophisticated color tone here.

The collection is out for you all to get your hands on and is available at Elan stores in Karachi and Lahore. If you can’t visit don’t worry, you can also get it online. Have a look at what Myths & Fables by Elan is all about down below.
