Designer Tena Durrani stepped into the world of fashion designing in 2005 and since then has made her work better with each passing year. To provide a range of options Tena Durrani deals in three lines; bridal couture, formals and casual wear. Her bespoke designs exuberate grandeur and cherish femininity. As per the designer, main source of inspiration for her designs is taken from the Mughal period’s art and architecture. Looking at her latest bridal couture collection titled ‘Platinum’ the designer has kept it true to her philosophy of keeping the roots of our traditions a priority in her designs. The collection consists of heavily embellished bridal dresses. The dresses are draped with traditional dabka, resham, gota and nakshi work. All dresses are exquisitely handworked with stunning intricate detailing.

Bridal dresses usually comes with a very selective color tones which in the recent times is changing a bit as various designers are experimenting with color tones in their bridal collections and have received a good response from their audiences too. In this collection, Tena has incorporated gold shades, ice blue, silver and ofcourse the most used bridal dress color red. There’s not much contrasting in the dresses as the base has been kept of one color and then embellished with zardozi, beads and dabka work including other materials has been done with either silver, golden or copper shades with a matching lehnga. If you are interested in contrasting your bridal outfit then there’s one dress available in the collection with red and gold contrast with floral booti chan and handworked border lehnga and long-length stones, crystals, beads and dabka worked shirt.
